Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who nourish fellow parishioners with the Body and Blood of Christ are themselves nourished with that same Body and Blood. In doing so they become more like Christ who forms them into more perfect images of Himself for the sake of our world. Christ encourages their hearts, strengthens their minds, and sends them to be witnesses to His love in the world.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are needed to help distribute Communion at Mass and to the Homebound. Special training is given to those who have never performed this ministry. Those who come from other parishes and have been EMHC’s are welcome to help in this parish as well. You will need to show your eligibility card.
